Foundation of Vinyasa
Every journey begins with the first step. In today's world, yoga is everywhere, and it's daunting for those who want to start but don't know where to begin. If this sounds like you, here's your class. For 75 minutes, we will break down the fundamentals of vinyasa yoga. We’ll take time to explain those things you've been hearing about for years that sound like a foreign language (don't worry, that's because they are)! We will move at a slower pace and really dive into creating a solid foundation to your practice. This class is open to all, but suits those best that consider themselves fit but clueless when it comes to yoga. Also it's a great class for more advanced practitioners, as it never hurts to go back to where you started. BEGINNER/ALL LEVELS.
(Begins Feb 2017)
A slower paced vinyasa flow that allows practitioners to spend time in poses while working through a strong sequence to build body control, awareness, and strength. You’ll work on sun salutations, standing and seated poses and beginning arm balances. A full balanced class that will leave you feeling chilled out and ready to take on the challenges of everyday life with a little more awareness and grace.
Skanda Vinyasa I
Faster pace class, linking poses with vinyasa. In this class, we will begin to introduce and breakdown beginner arm balances and inversions. You will have time to work on poses that you usually don’t focus on in other vinyasa classes. You'll begin to learn techniques to develop crow, headstand, and many other arm balances and inversions. But mostly you'll begin to learn how to link the breath with your poses and reset through vinyasa. You'll leave feeling invigorated and at peace. This is a great class for all levels, as it allows practitioners to hold poses for a longer time and dive deep into the breathing. ALL LEVELS.
(Begins Feb 2017)
We realize that Wednesdays are always a little crazy, so take time in the middle of your week to reset, work out the crazy, and refocus. In this class we'll get right down to business (no playing around)! You'll walkout feeling more alive, refreshed, and like you can take on the world. This class will be a playful combination of vinyasa flow, energizing inversions, and core strength building, set to playful music. ALL LEVELS.
Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, bones, and even the joints of the body that normally are not exercised very much in a more active style of asana practice, such as vinyasa which is a yang style of practice. Suitable for almost all levels of students, Yin Yoga is a perfect complement to the dynamic and muscular (yang) styles of yoga that emphasize internal heat, and the lengthening and contracting of our muscles. Yin Yoga generally targets the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis, and lower spine. It is a great complimentary practice for anyone who regularly practices vinyasa yoga or for students that are looking for a slow gentle practice. While initially this style of yoga can seem passive, or soft, a yin practice can be very challenging due to the long duration of the poses. With hand on adjustments this is a beautiful class to include in your regular practice to help balance both the body and mind so that you can walk through the rest of your week with a light and open heart.
Skanda Vinyasa I/II

TGIF Skanda Vinyasa II/III
Friday Night is a playful night! We like to refer to it as Advanced Yoga Fun, where we celebrate walking into the weekend with one of our most challenging and dynamic vinyasa classes set to fun music. You should have a regular practice and enjoy challenging yourself while trying new things. Our motto for this class: Work hard, play hard, and remember to never take yourself too seriously. After class, you’re invited to join us at a local restaurant where we’ll laugh, chat, and chow down. It's a great way to end the work week and one of the most spirited classes you'll ever take part in. If you're worried about the level, feel free to talk to an instructor to see if this class is for you. Must be comfortable being uncomfortable...or at least willing to work on it. INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED.

Hip-Hop Yoga Core
Start your weekend off right with a challenging class that will get your blood pumping while strengthening your entire body. Thanks to modern technology, most of us spend our work week hunched over a desk staring at a computer screen. The result? Our posture suffers—in particular, our backs. Spend the first part of your weekend shaking off the work week pains while building your core, which will improve your posture and help alleviate back pain. Not to mention you'll be finished just in time for Saturday brunch in NULU. ALL LEVELS.
